When we hear the word “exercise,” we usually think about running, barbells, and gym memberships. Exercise doesn’t have to fall under those three, though. Sometimes all you need to do is move your body and movement is not limited to workout equipment and running on pavement. Sometimes all you need is to literally just move your body, and one of the best and most entertaining ways to do that is by dancing. That’s right, dancing is now considered a good exercise.

The first one on our list is incredibly fast paced and blinking might just make you miss this seven-minute, high energy dance workout. This dance workout is called The Vixen Workout and their website describes its style as “a dance fitness format that uses commercial choreography, killer music remixes, and stage lighting so you can experience yourself as a performer.”

2. FitSugar’s Calorie Scorching Dance Workout

From a 7-minute quick calorie burner to a 20-minute calorie scorcher. For this dance workout, PlyoJam creator Jason Layden brings you a mix of dance and fitness to shred calories and get your heart pumping. The best (or worst?!) part is it’s up to 20 minutes! You’ll definitely feel the burn!

3. Trendy Zumba Dance Workout

Who doesn’t know about Zumba(TM)? Zumba(TM) is literally everywhere at this point so we might as well have it here too! Multiple routines make up this 24-minute Zumba(TM) workout by Daniel Hayhurst. His dance combinations get your heart rate up and running up from the very first beat without a lot of talking or interruptions. And when it comes to working out, the last thing you want to do is talk, not with all the huffing and puffing you’ll be doing.

4. Summer Dance Workout

In this video, Cassey Ho takes you through a step-by-step, 14-minute dance cardio workout. Take your time and do the dance slowly if needed. We found another video c/o PopSugar Fitness.  This vigorous 25-minute workout is by Simone De La Rue, creator of the celebrity-body sculpting program Body By Simone. When asked what she loved about dance workouts, De La Rue had this to say: “It’s my therapy! It requires your whole body and teaches you coordination. Dance stimulates your mind, body, and soul, and is such a fun, joyous way to get your sweat on and burn calories.”
